Meat Chips Carnivore Style

For a unique and savory treat, these meat chips are a revelation. Made with thinly sliced frozen ground beef, they crisp up beautifully in a food dehydrator, delivering a flaky texture and satisfying saltiness. Perfect as a protein-packed snack or for dipping, these chips are a game-changer for low-carb and carnivore-friendly diets

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1-pound tube ground beef, frozen (do not defrost)
  • Kosher salt
  • Whipped Goat Cheese Dip or other dip of choice optional, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Using an electric meat slicer, cut the frozen ground beef into rounds that are 3 mm or 2 mm thick. The slices may curl slightly as you cut; gently unroll them and lay them flat on the food dehydrator racks. Lightly sprinkle the meat slices with kosher salt.
  • Dehydrate at 165°F:
  • For 3-mm chips: Cook for 12 to 14 hours, depending on your desired crispness.
  • For 2-mm chips: Cook for 10 hours.
  • Once crisp, serve the chips on their own or with your favorite dip.
