Ingredients
  

  • 1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour (or use self-rising flour and omit baking powder)
  • cup Greek yogurt (full or low fat)low-fat
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ to 1 tsp Kosher salt adjust to taste
  • 1 egg or one egg white, for brushing
  • Seeds of choice optional, for topping

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven or Air Fryer:

  • Oven: 375°F
  • Air Fryer: 280°F

Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add Greek Yogurt:

  • Stir in the yogurt until a shaggy dough forms. Adjust as needed—add flour if too sticky, or more yogurt if dry.

Knead the Dough:

  • Transfer to a floured surface and knead into a smooth ball. Divide into 4 equal portions.

Shape Bagels:

  • Roll each portion into a 6-inch log and form into a ring shape.

Apply Toppings:

  • Brush tops with egg wash. Sprinkle seeds if using.

Bake (Choose Method):

  • Oven: Place bagels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  • Air Fryer: Place 2–3 bagels in the basket with space between. Air fry for 15–20 minutes.

Cool & Serve:

  • Let the bagels cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Low-Fat Variation:
  • ⅔ cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg white (for brushing)
Dairy-Free Variation:
  • ⅔ cup dairy-free Greek-style yogurt
  • Vegan egg substitute or plant milk for brushing
Gluten-Free Adaptation:
  • 1 ⅔ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder (if not using self-rising)
