Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound extra-large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice from about 2 limes
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, cumin, and salt. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, arranging them in a single layer. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes without stirring, letting one side sear.
  • Flip the shrimp and cook for another minute. Stir in the lime zest, lime juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix gently and cook for 1 more minute, or until the shrimp are fully cooked.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Serve these shrimp with zucchini noodles, rice, tortillas, or as a topping for salads.
  • Avoid marinating the shrimp in lime juice for extended periods, as it can overcook the shrimp and make them rubbery.
