Easy Homemade Warm Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea Recipe

This milk tea recipe combines the warmth of cinnamon, the smooth richness of vanilla, and the boldness of black tea for a cozy, comforting drink.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tablespoon loose black tea or 2 black tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or preferred sweetener
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat the Milk: In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil.
  • Infuse Tea and Cinnamon: Add the black tea and cinnamon to the steaming milk. Stir gently and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired tea strength. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Strain the Mixture: Remove the saucepan from heat. Strain out the tea leaves and cinnamon stick using a fine mesh strainer, leaving a smooth, infused milk base.
  • Add Flavorings: Stir in the vanilla extract and honey. If using ground nutmeg, add it now for additional warmth.
  • Serve: Pour the tea into mugs. Optionally, garnish with a light dusting of ground cinnamon. Serve warm and enjoy.
