  • 1 ¾ cups cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • If the dough feels sticky, add a small amount of flour and knead lightly until manageable.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut shapes and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before decorating with melted white chocolate and a sprinkle of red sugar.

Notes

For a chocolate variation, substitute chocolate cake mix and decorate with dark or milk chocolate.
