Equipment

  • 4-quart air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey no fillers
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp tallow or clarified butter for greasing
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Prepare the meatball mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, and salt. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Form the meatballs: Roll the mixture into small, equal-sized meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
  • Grease the air fryer basket: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with tallow or clarified butter.
  • Cook the meatballs: Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The meatballs should reach an internal temperature of 165°F and be golden brown on the outside.
  • Serve: Serve the turkey meatballs hot, plain for a strict carnivore diet.

Notes

Variations (Flexible Carnivore Diet):
  • Cheesy Meatballs: Add a small cube of cheese to the center of each meatball before cooking for a gooey surprise inside.
  • Spicy Meatballs: Mix in a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy twist.
