  • 1–2 tablespoons Korean chili flakes gochugaru
  • A few sprigs of thyme

Instructions
 

  • Begin by pouring out all the liquid from the jar of pickled garlic to avoid diluting the final flavor.
  • Squirt in enough sriracha to generously coat the garlic cloves, adjusting based on your desired spice level.
  • Sprinkle in the Korean chili flakes, using one to two tablespoons depending on how much heat you prefer.
  • Drop a few sprigs of thyme on top to introduce an herbal note.
  • Close the jar tightly and shake it until everything is evenly distributed and the garlic is fully coated.
  • Let the jar sit for a minimum of 10 minutes so the flavors can blend before serving.

Notes

Storage: Keep refrigerated for up to one week. Shake before each use to remix the spices.
