Instructions
Prepare the Pan: Line a 9 × 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring it covers all sides. Lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Set Up Cereal: Add the Rice Krispies cereal to a large mixing bowl and set aside.
Melt the Marshmallow Mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter, stirring continuously with a silicone spatula. Once melted, add the marshmallows, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely smooth and melted. Remove from heat.
Combine Ingredients: Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies in the bowl. Use the spatula to gently mix until the cereal is fully coated. Fold in the freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips, reserving a few tablespoons of each for topping.
Shape the Treats: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula (slightly wet to prevent sticking) to press the mixture evenly into the pan. Sprinkle the reserved strawberries and white chocolate chips on top, pressing them slightly into the surface.
Chill and Cut: Place the pan in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to allow the treats to set. Once set, remove from the pan and cut into 12 even bars.
Notes
For an even fruitier flavor, increase the freeze-dried strawberries to 2 cups.
Feel free to substitute white chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate chips for a different twist.
