Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups brewed coffee
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon anise extract
  • 4 cinnamon sticks 3 inches each
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • Additional cinnamon sticks for serving optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine the brewed coffee, sugar, chocolate syrup, and anise extract in a slow cooker.
  • Encase the cinnamon sticks and cloves in a cheesecloth, secure with a string, and place it in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 2-3 hours, allowing the spices to infuse.
  • Remove the spice bag, and serve the coffee hot. For an added touch, garnish with extra cinnamon sticks.
