Ingredients
  

  • 2 halibut steaks about 6 oz each
  • 3 tbsp clarified butter or tallow
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Season the halibut steaks: Lightly coat the halibut steaks with 2 tablespoons of melted clarified butter and season generously with salt.
  • Cook the halibut steaks: Place the halibut steaks in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F and the fish is flaky and cooked through.
  • Baste with butter: In the last 2 minutes of cooking, baste the halibut steaks with the remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter for added flavor and moisture.
  • Serve: Remove the halibut steaks from the air fryer and serve hot, with additional butter drizzled on top if desired.
