Mulled Wine Cocktail Recipe
This warm and spiced mulled wine cocktail is perfect for chilly evenings and festive gatherings.
Made with red wine, brandy, citrus, and warming spices, it’s an easy and flavorful drink that can be customized with different variations.

Variations
Pomegranate & Vermouth Mulled Wine
Add 1 cup each of pomegranate juice and sweet vermouth to the base recipe. Omit the brandy.
Chocolate Cherry Mulled Wine
Mix in ½ cup each of chocolate syrup and cherry juice. Leave out the brown sugar.
Ginger Mulled Wine
Add 16 ounces of ginger ale and 2 tablespoons of ginger paste. Stir well and garnish with candied ginger.
Mulled White Wine
Use dry white wine instead of red and replace the brandy with 1 cup of hard apple cider. Add a few vanilla beans.
Mulled Port
Substitute the red wine with port and let it chill in the fridge before serving. Serve in chilled glasses with orange and lemon slices.
Spiced Pear Mulled Wine
Add 1 cup of pear juice and 1 can of sliced pears, with the juice to the original recipe. Garnish with pear slices and cloves.

Instructions
In a saucepan, combine the wine, brandy, orange slices, cloves, apple, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and brown sugar. Stir to mix.
Cover and heat on low for at least 30 minutes, or up to 3 hours, ensuring it does not boil.
Strain the mixture into mugs and garnish as desired. Serve warm.
