Equipment

  • Tall glass
  • Muddler or spoon for crushing mint

Ingredients

  • 5-6 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • 6 ounces chilled ginger ale
  • Garnish: Mint sprig, lime wedge

Instructions

  • Lightly crush the mint leaves at the bottom of a tall glass to release their aroma and flavor.
  • Pour in the lime juice and chilled ginger ale, then add ice as desired.
  • Stir gently to combine the flavors, then garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a stronger mint flavor, muddle the leaves more thoroughly before adding the liquids.
  • To make it extra refreshing, use crushed ice instead of regular ice cubes.
  • Swap ginger ale for club soda or lemon-lime soda for a slightly different taste.
