Add the ingredients to the bread machine’s baking pan in the order listed, beginning with water and ending with yeast.
Insert the pan into the bread machine and close the lid securely.
Select the Basic/White bread program and the loaf size that matches your ingredient list (1½ or 2-pound).
Press Start and allow the machine to complete the cycle.
Once baking is complete, remove the loaf from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
The type of honey can subtly change the flavor—orange blossom honey gives a slightly tangy note, but clover or wildflower honey works beautifully too.
For a richer flavor, substitute whole milk for the standard milk.
Store leftover bread in a sealed bag at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer shelf life.
