Keto Cast Iron Ribeye Recipe

This cast iron ribeye is a perfect keto-friendly dish, delivering bold flavors with a rich buttery finish.
The high-fat content makes it ideal for a keto diet, while the garlic and thyme enhance the steak’s natural taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz ribeye steak
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup fresh thyme optional
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Generously season the ribeye with salt and pepper, then allow it to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Heat a cast iron pan over high heat and add the oil. Once hot, place the steak in the pan, flipping it every minute to ensure an even sear.
  • After a few minutes, add the garlic cloves to the pan and continue flipping the steak every minute to build a crust.
  • Introduce the butter and thyme, then continuously baste the steak with the melted butter for extra flavor.
  • Remove from heat and let the steak rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a medium doneness, flip every 2 minutes.
  • For medium-well, flip every 3 minutes.
