Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed sweet potato or canned, unsweetened puree
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (or substitute with mint for variety)
  • 1 ½ cups oat flour
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients, stirring until a sticky dough forms.
  • Take portions of the dough and shape them into small logs or sticks by hand. Alternatively, roll out the dough and cut it into strips.
  • Place the shaped treats on the lined baking sheet and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until they are firm. If your dog prefers crunchier treats, extend the baking time by an extra 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Remove the treats from the oven and allow them to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the baking time based on your dog's preference—bake less for softer chews (ideal for senior dogs) or longer for crispier sticks.
  • Using parchment paper helps prevent sticking without the need for extra flour.
  • Store these treats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze them for extended freshness.
