Healthy Grilled Salmon Steaks with Fruit Salsa Recipe
This healthy recipe features grilled salmon steaks topped with a vibrant fruit salsa, making it a perfect summer dish. With a smoky char from the grill and the bright, refreshing flavors of fruit salsa, it's an easy and nutritious option for any outdoor gathering or weeknight dinner.
Heat up a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Coat both sides of the salmon steaks with oil, ensuring even coverage, and season them with kosher salt and ground black pepper.
Take a small piece of paper towel, dip it lightly in oil, and carefully rub it over the grill grates to make them non-stick.
Lay the salmon steaks on the hot grill. Cook for approximately 5 to 7 minutes on each side, depending on their thickness. When flipping, use a spatula to lift the steaks from underneath to avoid breaking the fish apart. Avoid using tongs on the sides to keep the steaks intact.
Once cooked through and lightly charred, transfer the salmon steaks to a serving plate. Spoon a generous portion of fruit salsa over each steak, and serve immediately.
