Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger chopped (or ginger paste)
  • 2 cups water
  • Lime or lemon juice to taste
  • Sweetener: honey, sugar, or stevia, to taste
  • Garnish: Lemon slice

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the chopped ginger with water and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes to extract the flavors.
  • Remove from heat and strain out the ginger pieces. Allow the tea to cool slightly, then stir in lemon or lime juice and sweetener to your preferred taste.
  • Pour the tea into a mug and garnish with a lemon slice. Serve warm, or let it cool and refrigerate for an iced version.

Notes

  • For a cocktail variation, use this ginger tea as a base and mix with whiskey, rum, or vodka for a spiced drink.
  • Add a cinnamon stick or star anise for extra warmth and depth.
  • To make a stronger ginger tea, increase the simmering time or add more ginger.
