Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup 1 1/4 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon table salt

Instructions

  • Heat-Treat the Flour: Place the all-purpose flour in a small, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave it for about 45 seconds to ensure it is safe to consume. Allow it to cool for about 3 minutes.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a separate bowl, use a rubber spatula to blend the softened butter and brown sugar together until smooth and creamy. Add the cooled flour, mini chocolate chips, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Chill and Serve: Transfer the cookie dough to the refrigerator and let it chill for about 15 minutes until firm. Once chilled, shape the dough into 6 small balls. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator.

Freezing Cookie Dough:

  • To Freeze: Form the cookie dough into balls, arrange them on a baking sheet, and place in the freezer. Once solid, transfer them to a zipper-lock freezer bag.
  • To Bake: When ready to bake, preheat your oven, place frozen dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and bake without thawing. Add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.

Notes

  • This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled for larger batches.
  • Feel free to substitute the chocolate chips with your favorite mix-ins, such as Reese’s Pieces, chopped nuts, crushed Oreos, or sprinkles.
