Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Large serving bowl

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 8 cups chopped fresh fruit

Instructions

  • Combine the honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, lime zest, and lime juice in a small bowl. Whisk thoroughly until the dressing is smooth and well blended.
  • Place the chopped fresh fruit in a large serving bowl. Pour the prepared honey-citrus dressing over the fruit. Gently toss everything together to ensure the fruit is evenly coated with the dressing.
  • Serve the fruit salad immediately for the freshest flavor. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to two days.

Notes

  • Use fruits that are in season for the best flavor and variety. Summer options include berries, kiwi, watermelon, pineapple, mango, and grapes. In winter, try apples, pears, bananas, citrus fruits, or pomegranate seeds.
  • Feel free to adjust the citrus in the dressing—use just lemon, just lime, or a mix of both based on your preference.
  • Don’t skip the zest! It adds a burst of citrus flavor that takes the dressing to the next level.
  • Leftovers can be enjoyed as a topping for yogurt or turned into a parfait for a delicious breakfast or snack.
