Ingredients
  

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese or your choice of cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking spray or melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven to 400°F and prepare a 12-cavity muffin tin with cooking spray or melted butter to prevent sticking.
  • In a clean, dry mixing bowl, combine the egg whites with water.
  • Using an electric mixer or whisk, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form (3-4 minutes with a mixer or 6-8 minutes by hand). The egg whites should be glossy and hold their shape.
  • Gently distribute the whipped egg whites evenly among the 12 muffin cavities, maintaining the air bubbles in the mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each portion.
  • Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the tops turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the chips to cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Carefully remove each chip and serve warm.
