Equipment

  • 9-inch glass pie plate
  • Microwave

Ingredients

  • ½ cup 1 stick salted butter
  • 1 12-ounce can flaky biscuit dough
  • 4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
  • Fresh parsley or thyme leaves roughly chopped, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Melt the butter in a 9-inch glass pie plate by microwaving it.
  • Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits and cut each into quarters. Toss the dough pieces in the melted butter to coat evenly.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the coated dough pieces in the pie plate.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a milder taste, substitute blue cheese with feta or a similar crumbly cheese.
  • Use pre-crumbled blue cheese for convenience and a less "stinky" flavor.
  • These bites are best enjoyed warm and can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes if needed.
