Instructions
Prep the Glasses: Drizzle the chocolate syrup in a swirl pattern inside two martini or coupe glasses. Place the glasses in the freezer for 5 minutes to set the chocolate.
Combine: In a cocktail shaker, combine the Baileys, vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, and the splash of heavy cream (if using).
Ice It: Fill the shaker to the very top with ice.
The "Hard Shake": Shake vigorously for 30 full seconds. The shaker should become painful to hold because it is so cold. This is crucial for aerating the cream.
Strain: Remove the glasses from the freezer. Strain the cocktail evenly into the two glasses.
Garnish: Immediately grate fresh dark chocolate over the frothy top layer. Serve immediately.
Notes
Make it Stronger: If you prefer a "hotter" drink, swap the vanilla vodka for a high-quality vodka or even Irish Whiskey.
The "Flat White" Twist: Add 1 oz of freshly brewed espresso to the shaker for a caffeine kick.
Storage: You can batch mix the liquors (Baileys, Vodka, Kahlúa) and keep them in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 3 days. Shake with ice just before serving.
Dairy-Free: Use Baileys Almande and swap the heavy cream for full-fat oat milk.
