Equipment

  • 5 to 6-quart air fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails about 6 oz each
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter or ghee for greasing
  • 1/4 cup clarified butter for drizzling
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.
  • Prepare the lobster tails: Use kitchen scissors to cut along the top shell of each lobster tail. Gently pull the meat out, resting it on top of the shell. Pat the lobster meat dry with a paper towel and lightly season with salt.
  • Grease the air fryer basket: Lightly grease with clarified butter or ghee.
  • Cook the lobster tails: Place tails in the basket, meat side up. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F.
  • Butter drizzle: While the tails are cooking, melt the 1/4 cup clarified butter in a small pan. Add garlic or spices for variations if using.
  • Serve: Drizzle the melted butter over the cooked lobster tails and serve immediately. Top with Parmesan in the last minute if making the cheesy variation.
