Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ ounces brandy
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • Garnish: Ground nutmeg

Variations

Vanilla Flip

  • Use vanilla-infused brandy for added depth.
  • Add 1 ounce of vanilla liqueur.
  • Garnish with ground nutmeg and a vanilla bean.

Maple Flip

  • Substitute the simple syrup with maple syrup.

Apricot Flip

  • Add 1 ounce of apricot liqueur.
  • Garnish with a dried apricot or a slice of fresh apricot.

Chocolate Flip

Instructions
 

  • Crack the egg into a cocktail shaker and use a fork to break up the yolk.
  • Add the brandy and simple syrup, then fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake vigorously until the mixture is well-emulsified and chilled.
  • Strain into a short glass.
  • Sprinkle ground nutmeg on top and serve immediately.
