Ingredients

  • 3 blackberries
  • 5 dashes Hella Bitters Smoked Chili Bitters
  • 1/2- ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 4-6 ounces chilled grapefruit soda (Q Mixers)
  • 1- ounce Butterfly pea tea cooled to room temp (optional, for color)

Instructions

  • Start by grabbing a sturdy rock glass and muddling three fresh blackberries at the bottom. Add five dashes of Hella Bitters Smoked Chili Bitters and a fresh squeeze of lime juice.
  • Create a layer of crushed ice on the muddled berries and bitters. This clever trick will prevent those pesky berry seeds from floating throughout your drink.
  • Fill the glass with ice and pour 4-6 ounces of chilled grapefruit soda. Q Mixers makes an excellent choice, but feel free to use your favorite brand.
  • For an extra pop of color, consider adding 1 ounce of cooled butterfly pea tea. This step is optional but will give your mocktail a stunning visual appeal.
  • Garnish your cocktail with a wedge of lime and a few fresh blackberries. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this refreshing, alcohol-free beverage's perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and tart flavors.
