Equipment

  • 5 to 6-quarter air fryer

Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground beef 80/20
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese optional for flexible carnivore
  • 1 tbsp tallow or clarified butter for greasing

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Form the patties: In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt. Divide into two equal portions and shape into patties.
  • Grease the air fryer basket with tallow or clarified butter to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the patties: Place them in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium doneness.
  • Add the cheese (optional): If using cheddar, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.
  • Serve: Remove from the air fryer and enjoy hot.

Notes

Variations (Flexible Carnivore Diet):
  • Bacon-Cheddar Patties: Top with crispy bacon along with the cheese for extra flavor.
  • Spicy Patties: Mix a pinch of cayenne pepper into the ground beef before shaping the patties for a spicy kick.
