Thriving in low-light conditions makes the plant very easy to care for. Although, it does need bright, indirect light.
Another great thing about Chinese evergreen is they're not picky about soil. Just ensure it can hold moisture and drain well. A "peaty" mixture works great.
It's a tropical plant. Replicate the warm humid environment of the rainforest and it will be happy. Prefers 70-75 degrees F.
Avoid cold conditions with Aglaonema commutatum. They can suffer cold damage very quickly from opening and closing doors in winter.
Chinese evergreen does best with a slow-release feeding when watered. Less is needed during the winter months when dormant.
